September 19, 2008 - Michael McKinstry has joined the Beswick Engineering Application Engineering Department
Michael McKinstry has joined the Beswick Engineering Application Engineering Department. He has both a BS and a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Michael presented, along with another project member, the results of his Senior Major Qualifying Project (MQP) "Reducing Ejection Forces by Applying Nonuniform External Pressure to a Balanced Die" at PowderMet technical conference in Denver, Colorado in 2007. He was the recipient of three scholarships. His previous work experience includes in-line testing, fault analysis, and electromechanical assembly at Kidde-Fenwal and a supervisory position at WPI's Barnes and Noble bookstore. At Beswick, Michael joins the Application Engineering team and is responsible for assisting Beswick customers in the application of Beswick products. He is also responsible for developing new products and new applications.
